COVID-19 closure
Boston Squash and Racketball Club will be closed from this Thursday (5th November) as part of England's second national coronavirus lockdown. Further details from the club's committee are below.
"Dear Member,
"As you will have no doubt seen from national news, England will be entering a second lockdown from this Thursday, 5th November. The club will be required to close by law after Wednesday evening. The hope is that we will be able to reopen from 3rd December.
"We are of course very sad to be bringing you this news and appreciate how frustrating it is, especially with the majority of members having just renewed subscriptions for the 2020/21 year. We will keep you up to date via the usual channels as soon as we have any more information.
"Our initial understanding is that we will be receiving further financial support from the government to help us through closure, and that this should be sufficient to cover the income we will lose. Therefore we expect to be able to offer full pro-rata reimbursement to members who have already paid subscriptions.
"If you pay a subscription via monthly direct debit, we would be enormously grateful if you could leave this in place at this moment in time, if at all possible. The reason is that it is administratively much simpler for us to arrange a refund at a later date, than it is to re-establish the DD after it is cancelled.
"Stay safe and we hope to see you back at the club before too long.
"Kind regards,
The Committee"
